Album "Lights Out" to zdecydowanie największe studyjne osiągnięcie artystyczne UFO. Zespół w pełni dopracował swój styl, wzbogacony o nowe elementy, które od poprzedniego albumu zdążyły dojrzeć i dostroić się do specyfiki muzyki grupy. W efekcie powstał album, na którym nie ma już słabych elementów, każdy utwór jest nieprzeciętny i zasługuje na uwagę. Aż szkoda, że znalazło się ich na płycie tylko osiem...

Płyta jest dziś biblią dla każdego fana UFO, dla rocka zaś jest na pewno milowym kamieniem. W latach siedemdziesiątych ugruntowała sukces UFO i przyniosła im zasłużoną chwałę.
